Workspaces

A Workspace is the fundamental tenancy boundary within the RunWhen platform. It provides a dedicated environment where users, AI agents, workflows, SLXs, and supporting configurations are organized into a single space.

Workspaces allow teams to group together all related services and automation logic that should be visualized, operated on, or reasoned about as a cohesive unit. A workspace can represent:

  • An individual user’s environment

  • A single product team

  • Multiple product teams working together

  • A platform or SRE organization

  • Any grouping where shared operational context is required

Workspace-Scoped Configuration

The following elements are defined and managed at the workspace level:

  • AI Assistants

  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

  • Workflows

  • Secrets

  • SLXs, SLX Groups, and SLX Dependency Definitions

Workspace Membership

Users may belong to multiple workspaces. Upon login, the platform presents the list of workspaces the user has access to, allowing them to select the appropriate environment for the tasks they want to perform.
